NEW - Demo Slams! Join your fellow educators and share what works in your classroom including ideas, apps, solutions, gadgets, and pedagogy. Each presenter will have a maximum of 3 minutes to share their knowledge with the crowd as we hoot, holler, and encourage. In the end, one person will be awarded the highly coveted EdTechRVA Demo Slam Champion and win a free registration to next year’s conference. Don’t be shy!

Immersive Empathy: Using Design Thinking to Connect Students

Students need empathy and helping students develop an awareness of this skill is difficult. Join us to learn about our journey to invoke empathy with Spanish students and use the design thinking process as a basis for interdisciplinary projects. Participants will experience immersive empathy first-hand and begin to brainstorm ideas on solving the problem: “What’s next for Puerto Rico?”.
